Overview

Smartphone Adventures is a cross between Orienteering and Park Running.

It consists of park/urban running on a variety of course all close to central Brisbane.

It uses a Smartphone App or a GPS Watch to replace the traditional approach of placing Orienteering flags as location markers.
Instead, the runner's progress is tracked using the GPS in the Smart Phone or GPS Watch. The track is  uploaded from the App or Watch, analysed and times, places and the GPS track are published.

"Adventure Run / Orienteer when YOU want - compete at any time"

"Add Venture to your running with Smart Phone Adventures - You don't need to keep running the same course"

"Enjoy the challenge of not just running - but running with purpose"

There are fun, challenging courses to run - all in parkland/urban areas near the Brisbane CBD.
You can run at a time that suits you.
Run (or walk) for exercise - or compete against others with results published online immediately after each run.
All courses are approximately 5km in length and require you to go to approximately 10 specific locations.

Thinking about your route options is important, but no navigational experience is required, no compass is necessary, and you won't get lost.
